Career Summary
Nazrul Islam is currently working as the Founder Executive Director of a national organization READI (Research Evaluation And Development Initiative). He is also leading the role of Managing Director of Decent Job and Training Institute (DJTI) and READY FOOD. Apart from this, he is also enjoying the position of Managing Editor of a one line news portal hotnews24bd.com.
In 1999, he started his career as a Lecturer in Boroibari Ideal College of Gazipur district. He joined as a Staff Correspondent at a national English Daily ‘The Independent’ in 2000 and continued up to 2002. He shifted his job to Development filed and joined as Field Supervisor in 2002 at Social Training Advance Programme (STAP) and moved to an international development organization Care Bangladesh as the Field Officer in the same year.
Officer in the same year. In 2003, he joined a national organization Banchte Shekha as the Community Development Officer. With his successful career, he was promoted as the Field Coordinator, Assistant Director and Program Director in the same organization and served for 12 years. He quitted Banchte Shekha in 2014 and start to try for being a Development Entrepreneur. By this time, he joined to ARK Impex Limited as the Executive Director and works a consultant of Green Health Ltd.
Education
Mr. Islam is presently a student of PhD at Dhaka University. He took Mphil and Master’s Degree in Governance Studies and Development Studies from the University of Dhaka. He has also Master’s Degree on English Literature from National University.

He is well versed in organization management, research and evaluation, policy development, policy analysis, communication, advocacy and networking, project development, project management, facilitation, motivation, analysis and review, report writing, CBO management, sustainability management etc.
Membership
He is engaged in different networks, groups, organizations including ADAB, RUPA, AIDS/STI networks, Citizen Committee, Snowtex Outerwear Limited, JASP etc.
Theoretical Expertise
He is knowledge and skilled on Human rights and good governance, Gender and human development, Project designing and proposal development, Project management, Report writing, Monitoring and Evaluation, Behavior Change Communication, Supporting Supervisory Competency, Training of Trainers etc.
Publication
He has the publication on ‘Right Based Approach to Sustainable Development in Bangladesh: Potentialities and Challenges’; Assessment the performance and recommendations for replenishment of WMGs, WMAs and WMOs working under Bangladesh Water Development Board; research extracts on different projects like PRDP 3 & 4, UDKONIK, GIRPA 1&2. Articles on different daily newspaper like ‘The Daily Sun’, ‘The Independent’, ‘ The Dily Bhorer Kagoj’, ‘The Daily Janakantho’ The Gonomukh’,. Publish a case story book titled ‘Tale of Survivors’.
He was born in Sreenebash Kathy village of Fular Par under Muksudpr upazila of Gopalgonj district in Bangladesh.
